Well here goes my first ever blog - not sure what it is going to include as yet, just thoughts and musings. I hope you will find at least some of them interesting.
I suppose a bit about me would be a good place to start...
Still on the right side of 50 (only 18 months to go until that momentous occasion) so I still consider my self to be not quite middle aged. Living in London since 1995 - most of the time by myself - and still enjoying being here.
I enjoy the solitary life (that doesn't make me sad by any means) but at time some regular company wouldn't go amiss.
I must admit that work does take up a large proportion of my life - some say that this is a bad thing, and to some extent I would agree (all work and no play etc etc), however I really enjoy the job even though it can be very stressful.
Any free time that I manage to get is taken up by listening to music - I have wide ranging tastes in music, I know what I like and enjoy and to the same extent definitely know what I don't like. I also enjoy reading a good book and can have several on the go at once - I also get pleasure from re-reading some books, a couple I have re-read more times than I can recall...
I would not consider myself to be 'sporty' and I don't really like or follow football, but very much like watching cricket - much improved now that BT Vision now has sky sports. I also really enjoy watching motor-sport especially MotoGP, which brings me on to one of my loves...
I love, adore, crave, yearn for, and enjoy motorbikes. Although I currently do not own one (no-where to park it securely), I have in the past owned bikes and still have a hankering to get back 'in the saddle'. Perhaps it is a middle aged thing (this is the only time I would admit to be middle aged!!) trying to re-discover my youth - I don't know; all that I know is that I want another bike, and sooner rather than later.
Well that is enough about me - I could go on and believe me there is much more to tell, but I don't want to bore you too much; so lets leave 'me' for the time being.
You are perhaps wondering where this blog is going (that is if anyone is actually reading this), and if I am honest, I am wondering much the same. I think I will just let the words tumble out of the keyboard, and let them form their own sentences and paragraphs - I hope it will be interesting, I for one am looking forward to the next chapter...
